FirmOS is our Salesforce database where firm staff collaborate, track and support our advisors effectively with reporting capability.
Recommended system requirement – Chrome is the recommended browser
First time logging in
- You will receive an email notification titled “Welcome to Charter Oak” from noreply@salesforce.com once access has been granted, with link to access the site
- User name: your Charter Oak or financialguide email
- You will be prompted to create a password: at least 8 characters with letter and number
- After logging in, please log out by clicking your name at the top right
Next time logging in
- You will be prompted to set up dual factor authentication by choosing a Verification Method - i.e. OKTA Verify, Google Authenticator, Salesforce Authenticator (if Push is preferred)
OKTA Verify setup
- Open the app on your mobile device
- Click the + to add an account
- Select Organization
- If prompted to add account from another device, select SKIP
- Select Yes, ready to scan
- Scan the QR presented on the login screen of your preferred Web Browser (Chrome/Edge)
- The account should be listed as “Organization”
- You can rename this by clicking the name and selecting “Rename Account” (Suggested name is “FirmOS”)
- You will need to type in the code from the app next time you try to log in
Salesforce Authenticator setup (if Push is preferred)
- Open the app from your mobile device
- Click on Add an Account
- Enter the Two-Word Phrase shown on your app onto the login page, then click Connect
- Check your mobile device to verify connection to your account
- Your email address should be listed, click Connect
- You will see Account Added message, click Got It and Continue
- You will receive “Approve Log In” via the app next time you try to log in
