What is Global Relay?

Global Relay is one of two compliant methods for texting with clients and captures text messages sent or received through the Global Relay App installed on your BYOD mobile device or personal phone.  The second compliant method is Advisor360.

** This article has been updated to reflect the requirement for registered advisors to log in to the Global Relay app on their mobile devices to be compliant.

Note: The firm receives reports that may be up to a week old. Do not wait to be contacted to resolve this. If you have not already logged in to Global Relay, or if you are a registered advisor and have only logged in to the desktop version of Global Relay, avoid being locked out of trading access by using Global Relay on your compliant mobile device. **

 

Fastest way to comply

  1. Log in to the Global Relay desktop app, available through the Hub (Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub), which is already loaded on your onboarded device.  Registered advisors must log in to the mobile app and may also use the desktop app.
  2. Send a text message to your agency supervisory officer.
  3. Forward your Global Relay number to your office phone.
  4. Update your email signature to include your Global Relay number.

Workspace ONE

Workspace ONE (WS1) is required before installing and using Global Relay. Below is a rough outline as well as links to detailed instructions.

Workspace ONE Installation

Setting up a new mobile device

  • Install the “Intelligent Hub” app from your app store.
  • Login using financialguide.com email.
  • Take the time to read all instructions and follow the prompts within the app to install and configure.

Global Relay Installation

Mobile

  1. You should see the Global Relay App already installed.
  2. If not, navigate to the Hub App on your mobile device.
    1. Select Global Relay > Install
    2. When prompted for a Login ID, use your preferred/vanity email address (i.e., Charteroakfinancial.com).
    3. Follow the remaining prompts.
      1. If prompted to log in to Microsoft INTUNE, please use your financialguide.com email.

Workstation (Laptop/Desktop)

  1. Open the "Workspace ONE Intelligent Hub" App installed on your device (not on a webpage; use the search at the bottom of your screen).
    1. Authenticate to MassMutual if prompted.
  2. Navigate to Apps > Global Relay > Install.
  3. Launch the Global Relay App via the Search box at the bottom of your screen.
  4. When prompted for Login ID, use your preferred/vanity email address (i.e. Charteroakfinancial.com) and check the "Remember Login ID".
    1. If prompted to log in to Microsoft INTUNE, please use your financialguide.com email.

Best Practices

  • View your Global Relay number
    • Tap profile > Account > Global Relay Number
  • Setup Call Forwarding (Impacts voice calls only)
    • Tap profile > Forward calls to / Call-Forwarding number:
      • We strongly recommend using your Office phone for easier voice message management.
  • Update your email signature
    • We also recommend updating your e-mail signature with the Global Relay Number.
    • Outlook > File > Options > Mail > Signatures
  • Settings > Edits can be made to  
    • Change Notifications & Sounds 
    • Media & Storage 
    • Chat Wallpaper 
    • Blocked Numbers 
    • Voicemail (Default or Personalized) 
    • Show Link Previews 
    • Log out
