Printers in Core offices are setup with Xerox Standard accounting for tracking. Below is how to configure a printer for a user.
- First you need to acquire the driver, required to connect to the printer. You can use the SharePoint link below, but should you have issues it's always good to get the latest from the vendor.
- You need to download this folder to the users device, then unzip/extract it.
- You also need the IP address of the printer you plan to connect to.
- This information is stored in the Agency Equipment list, as well as below.
- IP Table
- If you can't find the IP reach out to the ATS
Please use the V3 Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6, to ensure proper support going forward.
Add Device, from "Printers & Scanners" (search)
Look to the bottom and select "The printer that I want isn't listed", then select "Add a new device manually"
- Add a printer using an IP address or hostname
- Device Type > TCP/IP Device
- Enter IP Address (i.e. 192.168.10.1)
- Uncheck "Query the printer and automatically select the driver to use"
- Select "have disk" and browse to the driver store
- Select correct driver
- Xerox Global Print Driver PCL6
- Name correctly as shown below
- Xerox PrimeLink C9065
- Do not share this printer
Set Preferences for B&W and Duplex
- These are our recommended, but users can adjust to their preference. I highly suggest this to prevent unwanted color printing.
Printer Preferences > Printer Options > 2-sided Printing
Printer Preferences > Printer Options > Xerox Black and White > On

Enter Accounting code and prevent prompt for Accounting
Printer Properties > Configuration > Accounting > Print-Time Prompt > Disabled
- Enter the appropriate code for the user, in the User ID: field
- This should be the user's MM ID, minus the AE/AA.
