Variable Annuity Business Submission Process step-by-step:

  1. Make sure you are appropriately licensed and registered to sell the product.  Contact Agency Licensing Coordinator if any question.
  1. A360 Popular Applications & Links Widget – Add relevant links:Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  1. RegBI Disclosures (either hand deliver to client or have client DocuSign – must use A360 account if DocuSign, no need to send to HO, should save a copy in Client360 Documents tab)

A) Form CRS Customer Relationship Summary for retail investors Form CRS - MI1327 (PDF)

B) Regulation Best Interest Disclosure - MI1342 (PDF)

C) Regulation Best Interest Capacity Disclosure Supplements: (Pick one based on your registration)

  1. RightBRIDGE (shortcut from Popular Application & Links Widget – step 2 above) – Must complete, download and save to local computer, then upload to Client360 household – Documents Tab
  1. A) If new client  – create household (Popular Applications & Links Widget: Create New Household) / Contacts Overview subtab - update contact info / People subtab - add person and update person info

B) If Existing client – search for household using A360 Dashboard Search box / Contacts Overview subtab - check & update contact info / People subtab - add person and update person info

  1. From Client360 household, go to Trading / Holdings – Account Profile subtab – click on Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Select advisor ID from drop down – chooseUploaded Image (Thumbnail) 
  3. Select appropriate registration type and follow on screen instructions to proceed with account opening.
  1. At last page, make sure there is no Red Alert / error message. Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Hit submit and you will be brought to Account Opening Dashboard with link to VAOE.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  1. Start the VAOE application.  If cannot finish, may save and get back in via the Popular Applications & Link Widget - Variable Annuity Order Entry link (from step 2).  Click “Show All” and find your app from the list, click pencil icon to edit the app.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  1. When the data entry is complete, may click Render Form (can no longer edit) and generate PDF file.
  1. If wet sign, after all signatures are done, upload via Practice360 – Documents Tab - Upload Documents for ProcessingUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  1. If eSign – Use the DocuSgin within VAOE if available.  If not available, use either the okta DocuSign Chicklet or A360 Forms Tab – DocuSign Dashboard Launch.  Once all parties sign, it will auto route to HO.  DO NOT upload via Practice360 – Documents Tab.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)OrUploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  2. Make sure the application on VAOE is submitted.  Once Home Office receive and review your case, they will email you with any update (IGO / NIGO) or you can check cases widget.Uploaded Image (Thumbnail)
  3. For outside carriers, once MMLIS approve, they will route paperwork to the carrier, you will continue the follow up directly with the carrier.  When the carrier issue the contact, it will feed back into A360.  You can find the account in Client360 household – Account Profile tab and Insurance Tab.
  1. Don’t forget to upload any supporting documents that are not already send to Home Office within the Client360 household – Documents tab for record keeping. (Ex. RightBridge, Case Notes, Fact Finder, client account statement, etc.)
