Advisor360 - Household Merge

As part of the data cleanup process, user may have to merge households due to marriages, people moving in together, or duplicate households created.

  1. Determine which households need to be cleaned up.  (Ex. Duplicate households or separate household records that should be merged together, like husband and wife?)
  2. Identify primary or desired household that will retain all the data. (Ex. The one with more data stays so there is less moving from the other household.)
  3. Are all the accounts and insurance policies listed within the desired household?  Reports or searches can be run to look for missing accounts or policies, then link back into the correct households.
  4. Manually added policy cannot be moved and need to be re-entered on the desired household under Insurance tab.
  5. Look for stored documents under the eliminating household within Client360 Documents tab and may move them directly to the other household or re-upload from local copy.
  6. Go into Contacts tab in the desired household, click on 3 dots located on upper right of the screen and select Merge Households.  This will move People, Activities, Connections and Addresses data from the other household into this household.  Remove any duplicate records. (Ex. people)
  7. Planning Tab data needs to be re-entered manually in the desired household.
  8. Any groups created needs to be re-created in the desired household.
  9. Household and statement name can be updated (Ex. Include both husband’s and wife’s names.)
  10. Investor360 login ID from the eliminating household needs to be deleted before being re-established in the desired household.
  11. Quarterly statement setting and Benchmarks groups need to be re-created in the desired household.
  12. Review the desired household and make sure all data issues have been resolved, look for any client data that is still missing.
  13. Go back to original household and check each tab to ensure all account, policy, contact info, document, Investor360 ID have been moved or recreated in the desired HH.  Then delete household in Administration Profile subtab – click on Edit next to Household Details and hit delete.
