Why are we upgrading?
We are transitioning our Adobe licensing from Adobe Acrobat DC / Pro to Adobe Acrobat Studio. Acrobat Studio provides additional functionality, and MassMutual now offers the licensing through its Technology A La Carte program at a significant discount compared to our previous Adobe licensing.
This upgrade allows us to take advantage of the expanded Acrobat Studio features while significantly reducing our Adobe licensing costs
Before You Start
- Once your Adobe Acrobat Studio license is requested, you will receive an email containing your invoice.
- Forward the invoice to Dawn Evans.
- You will receive another notification once the invoice has been paid.
- After receiving the payment confirmation, Adobe Acrobat Studio will become available through Workspace ONE. Please allow approximately 15–45 minutes for the software to become available.
Check Whether Adobe Installed Automatically
Once you are officially licensed, Adobe Acrobat is designed to install automatically as long as your computer is online. If some time has passed since your license was approved, check to see if the installation has already completed before attempting to install it manually.
- Open the Windows Start menu and search for Adobe.
- If Adobe Acrobat appears, open it and continue to First-Time Sign In and Setup below.
- If you still see your previous version, such as Adobe Acrobat DC or Adobe Acrobat Pro, or Adobe Acrobat does not appear at all, follow the Install Through Workspace ONE steps below.
Install Through Workspace ONE
- Open your current version of Adobe Acrobat. Click your name or profile icon in the upper-right corner, select Sign Out, and then close Adobe Acrobat.
- Open Workspace ONE from the Windows Start menu.
- If prompted, sign in with your AA/AE ID.
- Locate Adobe Acrobat Studio and select Install. You can use the Search option in the upper-right corner of Workspace ONE, or navigate to Apps to locate it.
- You may continue working in other applications, such as Outlook, while the installation runs. Keep Adobe Acrobat closed until the installation is complete.
- Watch for notifications in the bottom-right corner of Windows confirming that Adobe Acrobat and Adobe Express Photos have been installed.
- Open the Windows Start menu, search for Adobe, and open Adobe Acrobat.
First-Time Sign In and Setup
- If prompted to sign in, enter your primary email address:
- Use your Charter Oak email address if that is your primary address.
- Use your FinancialGuide email address if that is your primary address.
- You will be redirected to the standard MassMutual authentication screen. Complete the normal authentication process.
- If prompted to make Adobe Acrobat your default PDF application, select Yes and follow the prompts.
- Adobe may display an Installing - thanks for your patience window with a progress bar.
- Allow the installation to finish and do not close Adobe while it is running.
- If prompted to restart your computer, save your work and restart.
- After restarting, open Adobe Acrobat and confirm it launches normally.
- Click your profile icon/name in the upper-right corner and select Manage My Account.
- On the Adobe account page, verify that your account shows MassMutual Adobe Acrobat.
- If your account still shows the previous Charter Oak licensing, return to Adobe Acrobat, click your name or profile icon in the upper-right corner, and select Sign Out. Then sign back in using your primary email address and repeat the steps above to verify that your account shows MassMutual Adobe Acrobat.
